Blackhawk Squadron provides amazing opportunities for leadership, teamwork, community service, flying, aerospace and STEM education for cadets ages 12-18. Several of our cadets have gone on to attend various United States military academies.

Civil Air Patrol was founded on December 1, 1941 to help protect America’s coasts. Today, it is still a strong, nation-wide, non-profit, benevolent volunteer organization comprised of over 57,000 members. Civil Air Patrol is the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force and a member of the Air Force’s Total Force. CAP maintains a fleet of over 560 single-engine aircraft which are used for Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief, Aerospace Education, and other Government Agency support functions.
